"Is Gay Prejudice Taught In The Bible?"

From Lawrence L. Lepore - Editor of The Good News Today,
Rhode Island's foremost Christian newspaper.

Richard, I just read your Gay Prejudice document and must say…our past disagreements are all quite clear now. You have been blinded to the Truth and no amount of study or debate with you will change that. You need to be honest with God, yourself and then those who have been deceived by your reasoning. I don’t have the time to go into the myriad of scriptural problems discovered in your document or the assumptions you make based on traditions of men instead of scripture alone, but suffice to say…you need to get right with God.

The section of your document titled My Turning Point explains your premise for writing this…and there is nothing biblical about it. Did it ever occur to you that the situation these men found themselves in was retribution for a life of sin? Are there no consequences to sin in your world? I see it everyday…I have had to dismiss writers from our staff because of sin in their life…adultery, drugs, etc. and let me tell you…the consequences for each of them was hell to pay. Have you thrown out Christ’s principle…as ye sow…so shall ye reap?

All of a sudden the world is supposed to stop and change because two men loved each other for 20 years? How about we change the story and substitute a man lived with and loved his goat for 20 years…should we change the laws of the land for that reason? Maybe rewrite the bible to fit his lifestyle? How about a man and woman robbed banks for 20 years because they couldn’t make a living any other way? Should we legalize bank robbery?

Please don’t try to justify your position, emotionally, intellectually…and least of all not scripturally. You dishonor God with your mental masturbation. It is wrong plain and simple…and until you confront this issue within your own heart and soul…you will struggle with God. He has not changed…he is still the same today, tomorrow and yesterday. Perhaps your own health problem is being caused by a lack of peace with God over this very issue? Seek Him with all your heart and allow Him to lead you to an answer….not your own intellect.

Please read Stephen Bennett’s testimony and then call him. http://www.iwasgay.com He lives in Ct and would be more than happy to sit down and speak with you about his life and how God radically changed it.
